BI Studentaksjonen would like to thank all projects, committees, studyprograms  and staffunctions that contributed to the spring term opening at SHNAS. Congratulations to Fadderullan 2012 for best stand and to BI Outdoor for the best team.

BI Studentaksjonen would also like to thank BUFF that gave all their tips to BI Studentaksjonen educational project in Nicaragua during the spring term opening 19. January!

BI Charity Event 2011 is held from March 28th-March 31st. This year’s goal is to collect 350 000 kr to build three pre-schools in Laos.

The SA-board is ready to collect money. Are you?

Tuesday March 29th is «Students day» – this is your chance to contribute to our cause together with other students. Take a couple of hours out of the day (whenever suits you), and take your money collection bin to the streets of Oslo. If you’re interested, meet us in the Oasis at BI, or send your name and phone number to: aksjon.sa@gmail.com.

There will be prizes for the teams that collect the most money, and to those who come up with the most creative way of collecting money.

All charity collectors will be invited to a big party on Thursday March 31st, where there will be free champagne. Also, there will be a Date Auction, and other events throughout the night. This is something you don’t want to miss! Sign up as a charity collector by sending an email to: aksjon.sa@gmail.com (name and phone number).

BI has decided to support this years project by donating 50 000 kr to our educational project in Laos. This goes to show that BI takes their social responsibility seriously.

«Studentaksjonen is a great project we have supported since it’s startup three years ago», says HR project manager of BI, Berit Fjørtoft.

BI Studentaksjonen are very happy with the support from our school, and hope that this will motivate more students and employees to sign up as charity collectors for our final charity week: «BI Innsamlingsuken 2011″. Recruiting blood givers.

During the month of February, BI Studentaksjonen has recruited 301 new blood givers to the blood bank in Oslo (Blodbanken Oslo). The response has been overwhelming among both students and emloyees at BI, and thanks to them we have been able to raise over  50 000 kr to our educational project in Laos.

These funds have been donated by our main sponsor, BDO, who agreed to donate 250 kr to us for each new blood giver recruited. We would like to thank them for making this project possible.

This year’s semester kick off party gathered about 600 students to celebrate the start of the new term. Arranged by BI Studentaksjonen, the cover charge of 26 500 kr in total, is going directly to our educational programme in Laos. We especially want to thank the international students, who came in numbers.

The night started with rebus games, that was won by the team ”Shipping 2” (picture), and best stand was awared to Fadderullan. Finally, we would like to thank our sponsors for making this night possible: OnePiece, Akademika, Magnum Media, Cocio, Nidar and RFSU.
